CSIAM Executive Council members Yong Li, Jinhu Lv and Tao Tang each conferred a National Natural Science Award
On the morning of January 9, 2017, the annual National Sci-Tech Award Meeting is held at the Great Hall of the People, conferring China's 2016 Top Sci-Tech Award, National Natural Science Award, National Technological Invention Award, National Sci-Tech Progress Award, and China's International Sci-Tech Cooperation Award. Among them, a total of 41 achievements are awarded National Natural Science Award-Second Prize. CSIAM executive council members Yong Li (Stability of Hamiltonian Systems at Resonances), Jinhu Lv (Theories and Methods of Synchronization, Control and Identification for Complex Dynamical Networks) and Tao Tang (Adaptive and High Order Numerical Methods: Algorithms and Analysis) is each conferred such a prize.
Yong Li, born in 1958, is a director and professor at the Mathematics Institute of Jilin University. For more information about him, please refer to his homepage.
Jinhu Lv, born in 1974, is a distinguished professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an IEEE Fellow, and a Highly Cited Researcher in Engineering (Web of Science). For more information about him, please refer to his homepage.
Tao Tang, born in 1963, is the vice-president and a professor at the Southern University of Science and Technology, a SIAM Fellow, and an AMS Fellow. He is (was) also an editorial board member of SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, Mathematics of Computation, Journal of Computational Physics.
