2017 CSIAM Seminar on Mathematical Problems in Industrial Applications held in Shanghai
On May 11-12, 2017 CSIAM Seminar on Mathematical Problems in Industrial Applications is held in East China Normal University (ECNU). The seminar is hosted by CSIAM and Shanghai SIAM, and co-organized by ECNU and Shanghai Key Laboratory of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Practice. More than 50 teachers and students from ECNU, Tongji University and Shanghai Jiaotong University take part in the seminar.
In the seminar, five experts in the business community make the following speeches:
1. The influence of big data and artificial intelligence on industrial and applied mathematics, by Xiaohua Xuan (vice president of CSIAM, president of Hua Data Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.)
2. Application of and demand for big data in the steel industry, by Qunliang Zhang (CSIAM executive council member, staff of Baosteel)
3. Demand for and challenge of big data and artificial intelligence in credit risk measurement and control, by Zheng Xu (general manager of Shu Zun Information Technology (Shanghai) Ltd.)
4. Product authentification demand model driven by block chain online business orders, by Aiping Chen (senior consultant of Chain Technology Co., Ltd.)
5. Reflection on smart port development and related issues, by Chao Wang (engineer of Shanghai Eastern Source Automations Co., Ltd.)
Going on in an active atmosphere, the seminar also has heated discussions. The participants look forward to future seminars on the above five topics.
